| As one of my professors once said, "The problem with some Christians today is that they seem to believe that being a Christian ends with having made a confession of faith. But, just like a biologist must be well versed in Biology in order to represent his field, so we, as Christians must we be well versed in Christianity in order to be properly represent our Faith." ...and he is right! Why would someone follow a belief or choose to change their lifestyle without having any supporting evidence for their choice of life? Whether they've come to their choice due to a supernatural experience or by acquiring knowledge, it is important to know why you believe what you believe and be able to give supporting arguments for it. Christianity is RICH with evidence that supports its power and authenticity. The more I learn about the evidence that exists behind Christianity, the more I realize the importance of knowing how to defend my faith. After all, we are intelligent beings. We all seek to find meaning in this world. Ironically, either being for or against the existence of God; we are still appealing to the concept of God in choosing our standpoint. |
