My professor Michal Hryniuk pointed out this very interesting point in his lecture this week. It is a great way to understand the Church's responsibility towards the members with whom they go to church:
"As the African proverb
says, it takes a whole village to raise a child. But, as these case studies
reveal, it also takes a whole village to heal a convict, support a marriage and
take care of a family in distress. If we see the church as a “Christian
village,” we need to reflect on how all of the theory we have studied makes a
difference in practice."
